It's the only game in town for a Sturmovik in 48th (unless you're into vacs & resin) and it would be kinda hard to beat this kit. I can only see one manufacturer doing a "better" job on an IL-2 and that would be Tamiya. But seeing as that won't happen in our lifetime...

Anyhoo, it has a few minor fit problems, but I've yet to come across the perfect-fitting kit.

If you're thinking about buying one, or building one, go for it.

i like it blackwolfscd i thought it was well done aircraft and i love the detail in the cockpit but i did make some parts myself

The "bringing together" of the fuselage and wings requires care. After many dry runs the subassemblies can be GENTLY massaged together. I built the 2-seater, and the one on skis. Loved 'em both !
