I once read that the Marine Corps solved the problem of interference with the MLG doors
by simply removing the door. To the Grunts on the ground an extra 500 pounder is more
important than a landing gear door and, Marine Air is more than happy to provide it.

Jim,

I have the Squadron/Signal book "Intruder" by Lou Drendel. It shows that a max load of 500lb bombs or Rockeye cluster bombs would be 28 each. Mounted on Multiple Ejector Racks(MER) are 6 each on the outboard wing pylons, 5 each on the inboard wing pylons(leave one off the front of the MER next to the MLG door) and an additional 6 on the centerline. Shrikes can be carried on the outboard pylon with a bomb load, and with the A-6E TRAM I believe it can carry Shrike and Harpoon on the 4 underwing hardpoints. Drop tanks can be carried on all stations. 1 1000lb or 2000lb laser weapon per underwing pylon can also be carried. Hope this helps, good luck!

If anyone has a Hasegawa 1/72 scale A-6E Intruder instruction sheet, if you could scan a copy of the weapons chart for me and email it to me at jimz66@earthlink.net. Once you do if you can post it here that you have so I don't get ten million of them I would appreciate it. I have the Monogram A-6 and will be working on it sooner or later so I just would like that as a referance. Thanks.
