My first attempt at natural metal
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 9:50 PM
Here is a link to pictures of a 1/48 Monogram B-29 which has been my very first time trying a natural metal finish. I know pictures are not all that great but comments are welcome. I am new to modeling so don't be to harsh.

Ron,
for some reason there was no access to that page. Is the URL correct?
Maybe it's my server. Who knows?

Thanks for the comments. I used 2 bottles of Model Master Metalizer I know its not the best choice but all I had at the time.

Hey drigg;
looking great for the first time, by the way have you tried SNJ?, Testors Metalizer has alway given me fits when I try to pollish it, but you may have gotten the touch with it that I never had, keep up the fantastic work and we'll be seeing you in the Gallery section of the mag

Looks really good. testors metallizers can be a bit a PITA, but you seem to have a knack for it. The only thing that I would or could suggest is to add some arbitrarty panel discoloration
(adding tint to the base metallizer) or polishing some panels more than others.
3d modelling is an option a true mental excercise in frusrtation
