Hey dhaley,
Try the drug store first(by asking somebody), or if thats no good you'll definetly find it at your local hospital supply store.
Hope this helps ya out my friend.

Hey dhaley,
For the masking part, try using "non porus" surgical tape. They come in different widths so try to get the small to medium size(sorry cant remember the size off hand).
The tape is low tack and can take to shapes w/out really any problems.
I have been using this tape for many years and so far it has not disappointed me yet.
As for the yellow match up, if you have a piece of the yellow decal left, go to your local hobby shop and see if you can get a close match to what they have in stock or carry.
Basically all you want to do is get the closest color that would match the decals ID band.
As to what brand to use?? What brand do you usually use my friend?? Either Testors "Model Master" yellow(off hand cant remember FS #Sad [:(]Wink [;)]) or Polly Scales (water based paint) RLM 04 would do fine.
If I'm not mistaken the yellow ID bands on the Sabre have a lemonish yellow cast and is out lined w/ a thin black line on each side.
Hope this helps ya out and when your done it would be nice to see the finished build.
Flaps up, Mike

after two sets of decals i'm still not satisfied with the id bands on my 1:48 academy kit. so now i want to try painting them.
my question is does any one have a suggestion about a brand and color of yellow that would be appropriate for this.
also any suggestions for masking that will leave a thin crisp line .

thanks
