Help, I screwed up my b-25b nose cone!
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, February 6, 2003 9:10 AM
I am building a b-25b Doolittle Raider for a huge diorama. I used the future floor polish trick and dipped all my clear plastic in to a cup with future. It all turned out great, untill I cleaned up the nose plastic, and attempted to do it again - it came out horrible, was foggy and now has a white ghost ring around the colar look where it is supposed to meet the fusilage - how can I strip future without harming the plastic? I am on a deadline, any help would be greatly appreciated !Smile [:)]

Try some windex. If I get a tiny bubble in future I will thuroughly soak a q-tip in windex and gently rub the area. It doesn't remove the future instantly but it will remove it. If the future is partially cured it removes it fairly quickly but if the future has set for a few days it will take much longer to remove.

I have never tried, but you may even be able to dip the nose glass in windex for a while to loosen the Future's bond on the plastic.
