Hello Rob, I saw your written question where to buy or find 'Tiger' fighterjets, decals etc You can find several diecast factories who sell ready fitted fighterjet models 1/72 scale. Some diecast manufacturars: Mobby Master, Witty Wings, Sky Gardians, Gemini Aces, Altaya, IXO, Corgi, ... Some dacals builders: Shy@rt, ... have look on the http://www.masm.fr website. See for some of my own diecast repainted and decorated realisations: http://www.masm.fr/modelsMembreMASMVerhaeghe.htm Best regards, Marc

The last F/A-18C hornet made by Academy have the optional spotlight to convert into a canadian CF-18 but you'dd have to go 1/32 scale.  There are some other features that are on US version which are not on the Canadian one but that is easy to remove.

BTW, I purchase Leading Edge decals for my 1/32 Academy CF-18 and I was really impressed by the quality of these decals.  They are very thin and will look like painted on once applied and don't need much micro-sol or anything.  Have a look:

No matter where you go ....... there you are.

I don't believe any kit is actually accurate for the CF-188 as they all lack the spotlight that Canadian and Finnish F-18's carry. But if you ignore that any F/A-18C model should be accurate for 1990-on or so, while an A model would be correct for earlier birds (Like most A/B's, the CF-18's were updated to C/D spec).

thanks for the info guys.  Can anyone tell me which F-18 kit would be correct to use for a Canadian CF-18?  I know there is a CF-18 kit that was put out but doesn't seem to be available at this time.

You might want to visit here:

www.flightdecs.ca

They are a decal specialist and carry many decal brands from around the world.

The above mentioned Leading Edge set is for the Canadian Forces' 439 Squadron when they still operated Hornets in Germany.

Tiger meet kits or decals
Posted by RobBrown on Friday, September 22, 2006 11:13 PM
I am looking for a few Tiger Meet kits of F-16 or F-18s in 1/48 or 1/72 scale.  I have the RG 1998 Belgium F-16 kit and the Hasegawa 1/48 f-16CJ tiger meet from 2001(?).  Are there any others readily available?
