Reach for the Sky
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, August 28, 2003 4:37 PM
Here's a Tamiya F4U-1D reaching for the sky like a "homesick angel." I really like the lines of a Corsair from this angle. Hope you like it, & thanks for letting me share ! Shy [8)]

hey Pix, I really like this one! In formal art training I was taught not to place objects symetrically in a corner as you had done here with the sun - but in this instance your composition works quite well. Super job!

Thanks, Sled ! I took quite a bit of flack on my last one, and was hesitant about posting another. I know that not all will care for what I do. That's fine. I'm just trying my best, like everyone else.
The Corsair is SUCH a graceful bird !

Pix

You can't please everyone all the time. If it makes you happy, go for it. You have a large group to provide feedback. Some good, some bad, take it for what it is worth Constructive criticism. Personally I enjoy your work, it is quite interesting.

Keep posting.Tongue [:P] Approve [^]Cool [8D]

Thanks again, so much !
jgeratic - the sun just turned out that way. I wanted it near the upper left-hand corner. The only way I could get the shot was by turning the camera 90 degrees !
Keywoth - I usually have no idea what I'm gonna do. I just start flipping thru aviation art mags, and sometimes I see something that gets me thinking !
Claymore - classes start too soon to think about yet ! (I do have another Photoshop class this semester . . . Already got work "in the can" !)
THANKS AGAIN. I'll see what I can devise for tomorrow !

Hey Pix, I really like this one a lot!
The composition, the movement, very artistic. I love the sun in the corner!

Technically, I think it's your best propspin yet.

And again, I have to mention that the model itself is superb.

Ya'll ARE seein' Pix's fine analog AND digital modeling, aren't ya, folks?
Fine modeling, all around!

Could ya do something with armor, I wonder...hmmmmm...
Didn't you mention something about a Sturmovic taking out a Panther, or the like?

Thanks, J-Hulk & maddafinga. I think that its the simplicity of the image that seems to work. I'm glad that I stopped when I did. Just another bird in the sky. Thanks again !
