Recessed panel lines kits...
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, September 5, 2003 6:48 AM
I'm looking for some hints or info on what's the best kit, with reccesed (sunken) panel lines, at 1/72, of these aircraft:
- Sikorsky SH-3D Seaking
- S(H)H-60H Seahawk
- McDonnell Douglas F-4B or J Phantom
- McDonnell Douglas FA-18C Hornet
- Grumman E-2A Hawkeye
- Grumman EA-6B Prowler
- Grumman KA-6D Tank Intruder
- Grumman A-6A Intruder
- Douglas A-1H Skyraider
- Lockheed S-3A Viking

Can anyone help and share some hints and tips???
Thanks!!!!

Obrigado

The hasegawa Seahawk, F-18 series and new tool F-4 series are best.
Fujimi's A-6 series is more finely detailed than the hasegawa but they don't do the EA-6B (hasegawa's EA-6B is very nice. I have Fujimi's Seaking and Hawkeye but don't know other kits for comparison. Fujimi's F-4 series are nicely detailed but not as good as hasegawa's and the fit of the Fujimi F-4's is horrible.

Check out Revell Germany's Sea King range, excellent kits with recessed panel lines. At present they cover the German version plus Englands Mk6 & AEW version including the radome. These will a very good base for your proposed American version.
Best of Luck

SH-60
Check out hasegawa series in 72. It should be easy to convert a sh60b in 6h60h. the problem will be decals, you will have to buy italeri kit as well, which has positive(non recesses) panel lines
