airbrush question
Posted by nsclcctl on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 2:09 PM
Can you get fine lines and dots with a badger 3500? It is an external mix single action. The tip I currently have is medium and essentially all it is good for is spraying the overall airplane. It seems to offer no detail unless I am doing something totally worng. I am getting into german planes such as the ME262. To get the squiggly line mottled camoflauge, I assume I need a dual action internal mix. Is that true?

I have a badger 350, if that is what you are working with; it is single action and external mix. I find that it is easier to shoot dots and fine lines with a double action airbrush with a fine tip. The best thing to do is practice with different settings on your nozzle until you achieve the sizes you want consistently. Good luck!

Throw me a bone here guys, I need help. For straight fine lines, do I need an internal mix dual action airbrush? Have I indeed reached the limit of an external mix 3500 Badger?

If so, is there one under 100 that is good for WWII planes?

I recently bought a Badger 360 universal double-action for $125 from bearair (www.bearair.com), just for the purpose of lines and squiggles.
