Alclad II is my prefered type of NMF. I find bare metal foil looks a tiny bit better but is much more difficult to apply. Alclad is easy to apply and usually does not need to be thinned. Check the bottle again, are you sure it doesn't say "clean" with thinner. My bottles say "do not thin paint," but maybe you have some different type than I do.

You can use your Aztek and not worry about damaging your airbrush. Lacquer thinner is available wherever household paint is sold. WalMart has it available cheaply.

I have two bottles of alcad paint that I want to use. Has anyone tried this finish? How does it compare to Testor's metalizer or bare metal foil?

What kind of thinner is used. The bottle recommends "laquer thinner." Is that regular airbrush thinner. If not, where do you obtain some?

I use an aztec (testors) airbrush that is plastic. Will this paint ruin the airbrush?

thanks.
