Hey Sam,

TwoBobs did a sheet of the 2 Massachusetts ANG A models that scrambled on 9/11/01... Not sure if they're sold out, but it would be worth looking into.

A better question (since I have the two bobs set) is who makes a good F-15A kit? Hasegawa seems to only have the C and later. And for that matter, what's the difference between the A and C.

If I am not mistaken the only difference between the two models is avionics packages. A's and C's are both single seat fighters. B's, D's and E's are dual seat. I was stationed at Langley and the 1st Fighter Wing had C models. They had A models first then upgraded.

Hi There, Bare metal foils has a decal set for F-15A. It is the 318th FIS the green dragons . These F- 15A's were based at McChord AFB (Tacoma, WA) in the early 80's before the Squadron was Deactivated

Tamiya has a (relatively old) 1/48th F-15A and Academy has C/D version. Since I have these kits unbuilt, is there anybody out there who's got any comment on the above-mentioned kits? thank you very much.

There are some panel differances too and the main wheels are differant up til the 90'. The brake stack of the A &B is 1 disc less, the C &D areheavier due to larger fuel capacity. The comm panel on the C&D is closer to the left inlet and the chaff flare dispensers are just forward of the left & right main gear doors. Also if you want to depict an F15 after 1989 remove the tailhook cover between the engines. Bob
