MiG25 colours...Questions questions!!
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, September 14, 2003 2:07 AM
Hi there....

I am currently building a MiG 25(Hasegawa).. The painting instructions call for a mixture of Dark Sea grey and White.. H75 + H1.. No ratio given.. Has anyone built MiG 25s before? If yes can you please give me the ratio?

Another MiG31 kit of mine calls for H307(FS35375) a shade of grey.. Were MiG 25s the same colour as their younger Bro's the 31's? So can the same be applied..

For the tail portion of the engine the instructions call for a mixture of neutral grey and silver.. I use a metaliser(Mr color acrylic) for silver so how does one go about mixing these two different types of colours and whats the ratio again???

A long list of doubts...

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanking you in advance,

Cheers,
Nandakumar

Hey nand,
No I did not forget about you my friend. I have been doin some research for ya but have not had the time to reply.
At the moment I'm at the border working and figured since I was on my lunch break to give ya a holler.
Hopefully a lil later when I get home or tomorrow I'll get in contact with you.
Flaps up, Mike

Tongue [:P] cor a MiG 25 - Looking at some reference photo's and reviews will help i'm sure. Revell 371 or Humbrol 196 got mentioned for the grey. the cockpits are a vibrant torqoise on some if not all.
These mach 3 MiGs are made of steel with titanium leading edges which may be polished. and the photo's link here will help if you dont already have it.
