Hey John P;
the only bad thing about the Hasegawa F-16 Instructions is that they have the wrong FS # for the Radome, they call for the DK Ghost Grey when it's really Aggressor Grey but the other colors are right on

The instruction sheet for the model your building should have the FS color noted, no? Hasegawa kits do.

Hey TramsAm;
you folks must have replaced you Radomes recently because after a few months in the sun they get a little bit darker then the Neutral Grey of the upper nose section, I've worked blocks 2's (Black Radomed until Falcon Ralley), 5's, 10's, 15's, 20's, 25's,& 30's Big & Small mouths, and all their radomes where a little bit darker then the upper nose color, unless we replaced the radome and it's a touch lighter the the upper nose color for a few months and the best color I've found is Testors MM Aggressor Grey it's a touch darker then the Neutral and it's close to that color, I've even used it on a radome for a touchup by the AOA probe covers pin inserts and it's almost a dead match

I work on block 30 F-16s now and most of the radomes we have are almost the same color as the light gray on the nose of the jet, just a hint darker but not too much.

The radome on a 16 is a composite material and it weathers differently from the painted surfaces. The grey is the natural color of the material used to make it.

Thanks 72.
But I have seen a variation in different photos.
Any more suggestions?

Hey out04;
the closest color that is out there is Testors Model Masters Aggressor Grey (I think FS 36251?) I know it's not Neutral Grey because that's the color of the nose section and it's to dark to be Dk Ghost Grey, and to light for DK Gull Grey and the Aggressor Grey is the closest thing I came accross to match,
when I worked the F-16's I couldn't get the FS #'s from G.D. or Lockheed Martin,

What color is the F-16's radome?
Is there more than one color?
Is it an FS color?
