Hi guys, I just ordered this kit. I wonder what you guys think of it. Does it have raised or engraved panel lines? Any comments will be welcomed. Thanks.

I built the first F-15E release several years ago. It has recessed panel lines. The kit is a joy to put together. The only problem I found with it is the drop tanks are too pointed, which is a problem with all Hasagawa and Tamiya kits of the F-15.

I've had the kit for several years, started it, put it away, started it again, put it away again, etc. So far, everything has been great; the detail is very good. The only thing I found were some seams that are going to be a challenge to hide inside the intakes; and no, I don't like FOD screens or covers. I'm also not crazy about the seam running down the middle of the canopy--just one more thing to have to sand and fix.

Can someone inform me of the difference between the paint scheme of the F-15C and the F-15E? From pictures, it seems the F-15E is darker, and single colored. The F-15C seems lighter, and is made up of two colors. Is it true? Thanks.

The E model uses Gunship Gray, FS-36118 all over. The C/D models use a two tone paint. Which colors they use now I am not sure of.

You are correct Hou_ge2000. The C is Light Ghost Gray and Dark ghost Gray while the E is over all Gunship Gray which is darker than the D/G/G. I don't know the FS no's off the top of my head but you want Gunship Gray for the E.

I just spent big bucks on the new Bunker Buster kit on Ebay ($93, shipping included). Was it worth it?

Is the Bunker Buster EXACTLY the same as the original F-15E except for new weapons? This includes the cockpit, airframe...ect.

What are all the aftermarket accessories available for this kit?
I'm planning to use all of them.
Thanks.

F15C & D's are now MOD EAGLE, FS36251 light and FS36176 dark grey. As for the "Bunker Buster" the F15E's are the same, the bombs just give it a little extra punch. Bob

Is the F-15E now same as the F-15Es in the 90s except for the new weapons? I'm talking about the aircraft itself, like the cockpit. Any new upgrades?

The AF is always adding upgrades, of course any made recently would still be classified. Bob

Both kits are the same except for the new ordinance. There have been changes to the F-15E which is not shown on the newer kit. There was a thread on the new kit several months ago in the forum. I'll look around and see if I can find it.

I found the thread but the url mentioned no longer works. I'll see if I can find another way to get to a review.
