best 1/48 f-15c kit??

I'm looking to model my jet 80-0042 as she looked when I left her in '98. I have alittle experiance with resin and pe, and want to use both,to get this project just right. I've been playing around with the Monogram kit trying out some modifications, made a mess of trying to show the intake ramps down for engines running, so I think I'll abandon that. Academy,Hasegawa or Tamiya? From what I've seen in these Forums I know you guys and gals are the best in the biz. Thanx for your help. Bob

Hasagawa makes a beautiful F-15C. You can position the ramps open or closed and the AB exhaust has the actuator rods and pedals. The drop tanks are a little bit too pointed though, so use ther tanks from the monogtam kit.

I second the vote for the Academy kit. Great detail, C or D variant, nice turkey feathers, and is fairly inexpensive (got mine at Hobby Lobby for $15.) IMHO, it's the best bet for the money.
