Hi Colin,

I just checked and yes, the adaptors are in the Black Box set. You get the hardpoints, adaptors, bombs, Lantrin pod and stuff for  the office too. Its a nice set.Thumbs Up [tup]

A company called Eagle Designs (www.eagledesigns.50megs.com) has a resin F-14B/D "Bombcat" conversion, including rear cockpit displays, new gun port, correct sidewinder rails with the BOL chaff dispensers, LANTIRN w/correct adaptor and the correct weapons pylons for the Phoenix pallets (all for ~ $20 in 1:48). Hope that helps. Frank

Ouch! I hate it when that happens! I'll get back here when I've had a good peek at that conversion kit.

Hi. I just caught this, I have the Black Box F-14D conversion set and I'm pretty sure that it has those adaptors.

I'm not able to go check right now, but I'll have a look for you later to see.

Thanks for the help guys! Kinda weird that they include the F-14 as one that would carry that bomb in the weapons set, but they dont make an adapter for it! Maybe I can make one? THanks again!

Negative, the 1/48th scale weapons set does not come with the proper adapters for the F-14 (I've got several boxes of each of the 1/48th weapons sets); the Tomcat uses the Phoenix "pallets" when carrying JDAM's (and GBU-28's), but I'm not sure where you can get the adapter to adapt from the Phoenix pallet to the GBU-31. Here is a good picture of an F-14 with the adapter installed:

For more info on the Tomcat and the various weapons it can carry, go here:

Depends on what scale you're working in. In 1:72, the Hasegawa weapons kit X72-11 (laser guided bombs) does include appropriate F-14 bomb racks that can be used with the JDAMs from the X72-12 kit.  Hasegawa seems to have a way of doing that...makes you have to buy several different kits. I would assume that the same set up is true for their corresponding 1:48 weapons kits, but can't be sure. Hope that helps. Frank

I am using the Weapons set to outfit my Hase Tomcat and I want to use the JDAM's on it, but my question is which adapters do I use or do they even come in the kits??? Thank you gentlemen!
