Has anyone out there ever heard of or senn pictures of the
folowing Navy aircraft ;

F-51H bureau # 09064
Mosquito bureau # 91106
F-84 (drone) bureau #'s 142269-142348

I found them listed in a complete list of USN bureau numbers but have never seen them in Navy colors.

They might make some intersting paint schemes.Big Smile [:D]

There was a book out quite a few years ago, late 70's I think called US Navy fighters. I'm not sure who wrote it or published it. I remember it has the stang and I think the mossie. I lost my copy of it in a hot water heater accident (does anyone make diapers for thos things?) so I can't check on it for you. I know this is scant help but at least I can point a direction.

If you're still looking for info, I found this site that might help:

www.naval-air.org

I was looking for the 2004 Blue Angels schedule when I came across this

It's more than a hobby, it's a way of life

The book US naval fighters was published by Aero publications, inc . I saw it years ago too i have the other book they published US Fighters, it was written by Lloyd S.Jones im not sure whether he wrote the Naval Fighter book though, I dont think the Mosqiuto will be htere though since it was probably the only one the Navy tested.
