Anyone know of a "planes only" modelling mag?

Hey Trowbridge, there's Scale Aircraft Modeling from England, they have a US distributor but I don't have the link handy. You can also order single copies through Squadron at www.squadron.com
Hope this helps, think there are other mags that are aircraft only from England, France and Japan.

There is one from the UK called "Scale Aviation Modeller International, from SAM publications.
Inside the mag it says, "American shops & trade may obtain copies from KALMBACH publishing." (same company that publishes FSM)
They quote a yearly subscription rate of $76 surface/ $92 airmail. Individual copies are $6.99 retail. Hope this helps !

I've grabbed a couple of the SAM mag, and I must say, I was quite impressed. Because of their limited scope, they can dedicate more pages to a single subject, and have superb pull-outs of color schemes, info, and other rare tidbits of info that come in handy at times. Highly recommended.

Scale Aviation Modeller International for me too! They have also started a new Aviation themed mag just recently which includes lots of detail shots of selected Aircraft, just for modellers,
Just put sampublications into a decent search engine & you'll get there.

It's all in Japanese, but Aviation Modelling is a great mag. Brought to you by the same people that create Armour Modelling and Model Graphix.

Even if you can't read Japanese, the pix are astounding!
