How many did he fly for his 25 victories with VMF-214 and 215?
What was their colours and numbers?
Can you recommend the best colours and decals for me to use?
Can I find any pictures?
All help very much appreciated!

What scale decals?

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

Jan:

The Osprey book on Corsair aces has an illustration of one of Hanson's Corsairs. It is from VMF-215, and is F4U-1A BuNo 17596. It has the standard "3-tone" camoflage scheme with #596 in front of the national insignia. No personal markings of any kind.
