Yeah, Mike, it's you know who I'm talkin' about. LOL I knowutcha mean, I don't get anything either! (One or two in the last ten years...)

Actually, I used to get alotta his stuff indirectly. When Dan the Man would sell his collection I'd usually be the guy taking it off his hands and there'd be a few "Rich Kits" mixed in; the blue-nosed Stang being one example. Actually, that was a Ber-Mar consortium deal. 'Twas fun taking it apart, fixing all the screw-ups, and putting it back together...

Anyhoo, he wants to start on one of his Academy Hornets and has made it known that if he gets tired of it, it goes to Eagle. Angry [:(!] LOL He probably will ditch it, too. After all, he's got another. That guy makes me sick... Wink [;)]

If you would listen to everybody about the inaccuracies, most of the kits on your shelf would not have been built Too Close For Guns, Switching To Finger

I got the F-105D. The kit is BIG. I haven't started putting it together yet. The cockpit will require some work. The gun bay has only the gun assembly with very little detail. The engine exhaust looks good. It looks like the gear might not support the weight of the completed model. All in all on a scale of one to ten, I would give it an eight. Eight Ball [8]

A friend of mine got one of the Deltas and it is rather HUUUUUUGE. (WNY joke)

It's a nice kit, and though it falls short here and there, I think all in all we have little to complain about. Besides, that's what resin & brass are for, I guess.

The rivet counters have been ripping it up since the first photos were released. ______ love 'em, the rivet counters. (insert sacred holy entity of choice) Some of these fellas just don't get it. If it looks like a Thud, it is a Thud...

Anyhoo, my pal started the kit and it seems a bit tricky in a few spots, such as the fit of the panels over the gun bay and IFR probe. Although it could just be that he's a bad modeler! LOL (Another inside joke...)

In any event, he's frustrated with it and has already given it away to another pal of mine, much to the chagrin of yet another pal of mine! (This is a long involved story that goes back over 10-15 years and perhaps longer!) Actually, this time he didn't give it away, $$$ did exchange hands from what I understand. But it may just as well have been free, I won't mention any numbers lest I incite a riot here at FSM. LMAO

I kinda like the kit, but it's a bit big for me. I haven't fully converted to braille scale yet so I don't think I'll be getting one anytime soon. Maybe when my eyes get really bad in another 5-10 years. Oh, the decal sheet is printed by TwoBobs and is GORGEOUS!!!

Haven't picked one up yet, but I did poke around in the box a bit.
Like tkozal said, it looks good, and BIG.
Too be honest, I would have been happier with a 1/48 release of high quality.
Even at 1/48, the Thud a mighty big aircraft!

But if ya want it BIG, Trumpeter's got it!

I got a look at open box at HQ Hobbies. 1. It is BIG, too big for me. As the owner said, you need to hang this one.

2. And what I saw looked quite nice.

But its REALLY BIG
