Place the decal in hot water for 60 seconds. Remove and dip into Future for a few seconds. Set on paper towel for 60 seconds. When decal can be moved, place on the model (gloss surface), using decal set and sol. When cured, treat with two coats of Future, giving each coat time to dry or cure. Then apply dull coat.

I discovered this method when I dropped a decal into a dish of future. I do it on all my decals now and it works great.

Oh, and I thought my difficulties with Academy decals were due to my own ineptitude. I feel better now.

To ansewer your question,Yes.

If I ever buy an academy kit the first thing that I do is trash the decal sheet!Angry [:(!]
To get them off the sheet, cut the decal out and soak it boiling water for about 60 seconds. Using gloss/dull cotes will help the decal stay on, but no-one I know has ever stopped one of their decals from silveringAngry [:(!]Disapprove [V]

That's why I never use 'em. They are the worlds worst. If anyone reading this has had success with them-please tell me how on earth you managed itBig Smile [:D]!

Do all of thier decals shrivel up and fall off if you don't use future and testros dullcoat? With amost all of thier models the decals are near impossible to get off the sheet and fall off the model after a few weeksDisapprove [V].
