i mentioned building the HE-111 in another thread and for what it is, it's a rather good kit all around, my only suggestion would be to stock up on putty and be ready to sand sand sand. Mine unfortunatly has more gaps than the grand canyon for the fact that i was rather naieve when i built it back in 02, hopefully you will have much better luck than i did.

If you were feeling really adventurous; you could get another and the Cutting Edge Zwilling conversion. Now that would be an interesting item to display.

Thanks everyone for the responses!

The Monogram kit is really quite nice and I found it to require only modest amounts of filler.  It's model building, after all. Cool [8D]  Here's a pic of mine- I added a ton of aftermarket and scratchbuilt stuff to build a -10 version:

I built the Monogram He-111 some years back and it's a pretty good kit, I used decals from I believe Aeromaster instead of the one in the kit. I would buy another if I come across one.

Yeah - Monogram's the only game in town - and it's supposed to be pretty good from what I've read.  I haven't built one, but have a look at:

Good luck!

Nope. The Monogram kit is the only game in town. And it's pretty good too. Recessed lines and that great Monogram raised detail inside. Worth the money.
Take this plastic and model it!

Did Tamiya, Hasegawa or Academy make an He-111 in 1:48 scale?  I can't seem to find anything but a Revell-Monogram kit from 2004 on ebay.  I've tried Tower, Squadron and Lucky Models.

Is the Monogram kit any good?

 Thanks for the input!
