Looking for decals
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 10:48 AM
I'm looking for decals for a 1/48 Typhoon bubbletop (Hasegawa). I have found only one set available from Aeromaster, and I wasn't very enthused with the markings choices.
Does anyone know of any other choices out there ?

I might have some left over from my Monogram kit. Will have to check.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

Thanks for the offer, wayne. What I had in mind was finding some aftermarket decals from which I could choose.
Are there (to anyone's knowledge) NO decals available for this bird ? I have slogged through countless Super Scale & Aeromaster lists, and still found nothing.
Are there any manufacturers that specialize in WW II Brit a/c ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you if you took the time to look, and turned up nothing more than what I have already found.

A quick search found these companies produce decals for Typhoon 1B - ADS, Arrow Graphics, and Techmod - you'll have to do some extra digging to see if they are for the bubble top.

Thanks, jgeratic ! I wasn't familiar with those companies, so I really appreciate the help. I found a relatively rare, OOP (and beautiful) Jaguar resin & P.E. set for this plane, but the kit decal's "sky" colored codes are very gray & very dark. I'll see what they have to offer. (gotta be better than the kit's, right ?)
Thanks again !
