Monogram has a T28A in Air Farce markings in release right now. Check your local or some of the mail order. It is a very old kit.

That's 'Air FORCE to you! I'm retired so show some respect. Now that that's over, thanks for the info, even though I suspect it comes from a GROUND POUNDER, SWABBIE OR JAR HEAD. (SMILE, YOU'RE ON CANDID CAMERA), WE'RE ALL VETS IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.

I tip my hat and I'll drink a beer to all of us tonight. If you can't get a kit, put up a post and we'll talk about mine. I've opened the box and dry fitted a couple of parts. I would rather do a D model, but they haven't released it again. The A I have is a rerelease.

I was stationed at NKP (Nakhon Phanom) northeast Thailand. We had a lot of strange aircraft that flew out of there. Anything from C-123j', A-26K's, T-28's, etc. Most of the T-28's were painted either pale grey or black and flew with the 'Ravens'. I got to ride in one and kicked flares from C-123's and did 'Litter Bug' and Loud Mouth" in O2A's. My squadron flew A-1E/H's on SAR & intradictions missions in Laos.

I worked on KC130's. I did a year on Okinawa with a TDY at Da Nang. I worked on the Italeri 1/48 Fat Albert when it was in squadron service before it went to the Angels. I have a kit in my model room, but I haven't had the courage to crack the box yet. That will be the one to detail. Have a good night.

didfal,

Point of order; the re-issue Monogram Air Force T-29A kit is actually a T-28B/D kit with a two bladed prop and a small opening in the cowling... notice, I said Small Opening, not small cowling, as is characteristic to the "A" Model.

Thanks for the info and I'm on it. I just looked on E-Bay yesterday but must have missed it. I knew I could count on the memebers to come up with something I could use. Thanks to all, again.

I'm in Ohio, but on the company computer. That was the end of my shift.
