Panda Models of China.....1/32 scale B-17?
Posted by Papa-Echo-64 on Thursday, February 13, 2003 12:22 AM
Howdy!

When my local Hobby Store Owner got back from the Toy & Model show in Sept, he mentioned a 1/35 sale CH47-C Chinook and a possible 1/32 scale B-17 from Panda Models....I saw a flyer on the Chinook and have not been able to sleep well since then! .......but now I just revcieved a e-mail from a Model News web site and they say they just recieved Pandas new 2003 catalogue and they have both kits listed! except the chinook is listed as 1/32! HOLY COW! I asked for more info and I'm waiting for a response.
Has anyone else seen or come across this kit info?

Now you've got me watching for things!

A Chinook that big?! Make room on your shelves!

I remember when real Chinooks still flew with the Canadian Forces, there was a unit of them at the base just north of where I live. I actually got to ride on one of the last Chinook flights out of that base before the aircraft was retired from Canadian Service. If the kit's a C, It should be easy enough to convert into the D that Canada used. :-)

I'll definitely be watching for details, I'll let you know if I hear anything.

The same source just told me that a 1/32 scale Avenger from Trumpeter is in the making too!
WOW!!
I'm excited!

I am positive the Chinook is coming...but the B-17 is just a rumor. I have tried and tried to verify its' validity but I have been unable to do so. We will just have to keep wishing.

A TBM in 1/32 would be great. But I hope Trumpeter does a better job than they did with the F4F. The after market guys are building masters as I type! LOL
