A source I have calls overall-14077, upper green is 34128 and mottle is 34097. More confusion.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

Just to pass on...Verde Bottiglia is "bottle green'..mimetico is 'medium'...scuro is 'dark'...just to add to the confusion.

IPMS Stockholm lists several greens for Italian aircraft as follows:

1919-1939, Dark Green, FS 34070

WWII
Verde 9..........FS 14062
Verde Bottiglia..........FS 34108...Main color in top camouflage from 1942 onwards.

Verde Mimetico 1..........FS 34258 (34092)...Main topside color in continental camouflage, used for blotches in desert schemes.

Verde Mimetico 2..........FS 34092 (34096)...Same as above.

Verde Mimetico 3..........FS 34102...Same as above.

Verde Mimetico 53192.........FS 34227

Verde Oliva Scuro 1..........FS 34079...Used for blotches in desert schemes.

Verde Oliva Scuro 2..........FS 34052 (34086)...Same as above.

Very confusing. [:0] Take your pick. Wink [;)]

working from a couple of magazine articles, I have a reference to verde
Mimetico 2 (Camouflage green) which, later on in the article is refered to as dark olive green. Bearing in mind that the aircraft would be operating in a hot, dusty area, you could probably fade it a bit to allow for weathering. But to my eye it looks very similar to humbrol's dark olive.

Hi guys

I'm working on a Supermodel RE2000 Falco, and was wondering if anyone knew what shade of green the top surfaces are meant to be? There's no paint guide. On the box it looks olivey, but a photo I saw looked like a much blacker green. Humbrol number would be much appreciated, FS if you dont know.
