                        What is the perferred method for putting the burnished swirls on the cowling of the Sprit of St. Louis 1/72 scale model? I was going to use Bare Metal Foil but if there is a better medium I'm flexible.

                        I just saw an article in the last couple of weeks where the author painted on the swirls using a brush and steel colored paint. I don't recall exactly where I read it, nor the color of the base coat that went underneath it.
