So, is this Revell kit in 1/72nd scale? And I agree with Mr. Boyer: we need a good 1/48th A-5 in the modeling world.

Mr. Boyer, you wouldn't happen to have been a co-author for high school history books, would you? My son's history book shows a Paul Boyer as one of the authors, and I was wondering if you're the same person. I remember reading somewhere that you have a degree in history. Sorry about getting off the subject here, guys.

The only 1/48th Viggie I know of is Collect-Aire's. The price is pretty high but,
you wouldn't have to buy any aftermarket resin or photo-etch stuff to properly
finish it.

Revell repackaged the Ace kit (Korea) in the mid-late 1980s. It seemed to be a copy of the Hasegawa kit with recessed panel lines, but being an early kit from that company, it wasn't great.

Revell also had a box-scale kit of the original A3J bomber version, first produced in the early 1960s. Monogram also had an A-5A in about 1/77 scale.

It's about time we had new state-of-the-art Vigilante kits in both 1/48 and 1/72 scales. Who wants to step up?

Yeah it's a Revell. Just assembled the tanks...really rough and no real alignment.
This might be fun.

according to www.kingkit.co.uk there are 2 numbers for the Revell RA5C
4367 and 4378 - they carry both ,as well as the Airfix and one by kangnam.

These guys seem to be brilliant for hard to get kits.

Issah,

What scale is it in? I wasn't aware that Revell had produced this kit. And, while I'm on the subject, what's the kit number?

I just got the Revell kit today at a show. I need to know if there is a resign cockpit kit available for this old bird. Or am I going to have to scatch this one out?
