Is that the Aircraft in Miniatures / Historic Wings kit you just bought ? I've never seen that kit but I've seen several of their 1/72 airliner kits and they are crude. So, lots of work involved. Don't want to be too pessimistic, 'cause I may be wrong in this particular case, but my advice on this would be for you to start a smaller vac project first, or a kit containing a few vac parts, just to give you an idea of what it means. Welsh Models for instance produce some exquisite 1/144 mixed media (including vac) kits, British civil & military stuff in particular, that would be a great start in vacuform modelling. It will give you some good experience about cutting , sanding, strengthening and glueing parts. If you can go to the Southern Expo in Hornchurch, you'll be able to see many of their kits there. Good luck!
