Smile [:)]Hey guys,

I'm really knocked out by your comments!Blush [:I]Blush [:I] Thank you all for your kind words, it's really heart-warming to recieve such great feedback.Bow [bow]

usmcsm, thank you sir. The hasagawa kit has problems underneath where the fuselage halfs meet and the seams on top/around the intakes will need sanding down. Horiziontal stabs. will need extra support as the kit stubs are weak. That's about it. If you ever need a hand, shoot an email my way, I'll be glad to help.Captain [4:-)]Wink [;)]

Darren, Thanks for giving us a look at a really pretty bird. Very nicely done. I think all that decal film would have scared me away! LOL Cool [8D]

Outstanding job! I was in that squadron in my younger daze. You make me proud! I have the 1/72 and 1/48 kits on my shelf. Any advice on fit problems etc...?

One of the finest looking Phantoms I have seen, congratulations, well done. Bow [bow] I am a phantom fan but I have not built one since I was a kid. Seeing your great bird is an inspiration. Truly that is one of the nicest looking A/C I have seen on these forums (no offense intended to anyone else).

Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] Hey J-hulk, Domi ,Butz

Many thanks for your kind wordsBlush [:I]

The kit is a 1/48 F-4S by Hasagawa. It came with a few bits of etched metal to make the "S" type and they included seperate slats for the wings. I added the Eduard photo etch set to improve the details. The bulk of this stuff went on the cockpit and canopy frames. I did'nt use all of the exterior parts as I felt they were not needed on this kit. The rest of the kit went together as normal except the decals. That was a long nightZzz [zzz]Zzz [zzz] but worth it!Approve [^]

Berny, you got me! Clown [:o)] I was using a reference photo of someone elses model who had installed the pylons in that manner. I have to admit I didn't notice the difference until you mentioned it.

Great looking Phantom. I like the finish. Just one question. Why did you put the inboard pylons on the outboard station?

Thanks for posting that awesome Phantom! It's a real looker, great subject and a great paint scheme.
Now it's back to work on my ol' olive drab/neutral gray warbirds for me, thanks for the colorful distraction! I'll think I'll add invasion stripes now, and maybe.............:).

Big Smile [:D]I'll have another go at posting more pics later. If everyone can do it I should be able toClown [:o)]
Thats a couple of decals wrapped around the drop tank, and yes it was tricky![:0] I had to do a lot of trimming due to the curves. I've only seen a few models with this scheme and when I saw the Hasagawa kit with those decals inside the box, I had to give it a try. If you're ever going to do that scheme, buy plenty of microsol-you'll need itBig Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

You're welcome, TANGO ! I don't know when you last posted pics, but after the rongeorge, its albums/uploadhere/ then your pic #. You also need to include the "sized." I saw all the pics. Beautiful scheme. Is that paint or decals on the drop tanks? Whichever it is, it looks difficult but well done. Hope you get the rest of the pics of this beauty up for all to enjoy !
