Hi Necrobaron,
Here are a couple of sites that should have the information that you require.
www.fighterworld.com.au
www.australiasaviationmuseum.com.au
Try the Fighterworl site first because I know I've got that one right. Their site contains links to other sites.
Bruce LeCren a member on this Forum has helped restore a NA Yale and that is basicly a Wirraway from which the Boomerang evolved and due to the wartime emergency the instrument panel was transfered holus bolus and in a rush.
The Australian War Memorial, Canberra ACT should also have the details your friend requires. They have a web site but I can't remember the exact deesignator.
Hope that this helps.

Necrobaron,
A mate of mine named Gary runs Red Roo Models.
He specialises in books and decals and kits and conversion sets for Australian military aircraft. I've seen many of his products and they are top notch.
have a look at his website:
http://www.redroomodels.com
There's no current listing for a Boomerang in his book list, but I'd be very surprised if he didn't have some info that would be useful to you.
Try to email him at:
redroo@redroomodels.com
Good luck, mate
LeeTree

Cheers, LeeTree

This is the only decent walkaround I've ever come across for a Boomerang. (Click on 'Aircraft', to the left, then scroll down to 'CAC Boomerang'.) It's the world's only flying example and, unfortunately, it's obviously not a fully authentic cockpit. But your pal may find these images useful, nonetheless.

I have a hanful of photos I took of Matt Denning's newly restored Boomerang which might be useful to your friend, including a rather nice cockpit shot. If you want to send ur email to me at chris.harris1@ntlworld.com, I would be happy to send them to you. I'm afraid you will have to excuse the idiot sitting in the cockpit in a couple of shots!!!! Perhaps in return your friend might have some idea where I can get hold of an LTD 1/48 Boomerang??

In the queue: 1/48 Beech Staggerwing (RAAF), P38 (RAAF), Vultee Vengeance (RAAF), Spitfire Vb (Malta), Spitfire VIII x2 (RAAF), P39 x2 (RAAF), Martin Baltimore (Malta?), Martin Maryland (Malta), Typhoon NF1b, Hellcat x2 (FAA)
