ATTENTION E-BAYERS READ THIS ASAP
Posted by 72cuda on Thursday, October 30, 2003 8:06 PM
I just had a bad dealings with this putz on EBay by the sign 19d30r8 or Citadel International in Cape Coral FL,(website: csc139inf@swfa.rr.com) this guy treats all of his customers like a very bad used car dealer( who thinks everyone is out to screw them over ), so my Advise to you is avoid this place like the plague, especially for the Overseas people who want kits from this putz he overcharges his rates for shipping as for the U.S. folks he nails you for insurance cost that are higher then what is offered( I know I've checked with my local P.O.) so if you can DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS

This guy's a perfect example of someone whom I won't deal with simply because of the attitude that he exhibits in his listing descriptions. The guy's a real AH to deal with as you seem to have found out, Cuda.

Simple and reasonable questions (by myself and one other fella I know) about items he's listed incite extremely rude replies; he tries to make you feel like an imbecile just for asking. As you said, he overcharges on almost everything. A bit of a round-up on a shipping charge is A-O-K with me, but this fella is ridiculous sometimes.

It's a shame, he's had many an item up for grabs that I've been looking for for some time and I simply will not deal with this guy. He is rude, obnoxious and one of the most obstinant individuals I've ever come in contact with and I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who holds the same opinion. His feedback reflects this in a big way. 40 negatives is not what I'd call a stellar rating, no matter how many transactions he's completed.

Oh well, takes all sorts in this world, I guess.

I can understand you being POed about a dealer and warning others but... SEVEN posts sounds more like a vendeta.

I don't think it's a vendetta at all. If past experiences are any indication, then Cuda's position is quite justified and all he's done is to spread the word through several different parts of the forum.

One must realize that not everyone checks out the whole forum. Some folks hang out only in one section and that's it. I normally don't hit anything but the aircraft & armor forums on a regular basis. I almost never go into the general discussion forum anymore.

So posting a message like this in one section of the forum may be ineffective.

Nick
If you think things are expensive in the UK, try converting to Euros, then you will know what expensive is.

Thanks Cuda, havn't shopped on Ebay yet but I may in the future( a lot of people wont sell outside the US for some reason, forgetting that we in Europe subsidise the standard of living in the US with the higher retail prices over here)

Thanks for the warning, 72cuda. Before I bid on eBay, I usually ask a question, even if I already know the answer. It's a simple (though not foolproof) way to test the demeanor of the seller. All the sellers I've dealt with were really good, some exceptional. Well, there was one fellow who gave me the wrong address (transposed the numbers), then wondered why he hadn't received my money order....

Ah yes, I like to refer to him as the Plastic Nazi. The guy is definitly a trip but don't let him get to you. Simply avoid his auctions and buy the kit somewhere else. I know it;s tempting but just read his rules and you will be cured. I did business with him once and got my blood pressure up a little then realized I can move on, he has to live with himself - now that is punishment!

Again many thanks for the warning....as far as personal vendettas...I dont think so. I appreciate him posting it on all the boards instead of just one....that way everyone sees it.

I bought kits on e-bay, but problems like this seem to be on the increase. My biggest complaint is the sellers pricing some of these kits to the point that you would of thought they were cast in gold. old revell kits for one...off the top of my head. The atomic cannon kit...man! Need I say more? Anyway, thanks for the heads up.

Hey Guys you should read his responce to me; he called me a Whiner and a part of the female anatomy and not a real man for volenteering for military service, I just told him he was just a draftee flunckee haven't heard word since but I think he's trying to think of a come back but see this is how he treats his customers, I have the right mind to turn him over to the Florida Chapter of the BBB and complaint dept of E-Bay just to bar him from selling anything on E-bay and all customers world wide

Hey Merlin;
I like it with the YET, I thought I was in like Flint but this BH came along and blew the good run of 100 without any problems, just be very careful and take the time and read the discriptions over and avoid any BOZO who don't except PAYPAL

While you're at it, what about those guys who find somehting and then buy it all, to resell at a profit. Noticed after Tuskegee Airmen decals from ThreeGuysReplicas disapeared after notice in forum. Leave a little something for the rest of us who just want to make nice models and not a profit!
