accurate 2 for 1

I saw on a site yesterday, Accurate advertising these 2 for 1 avengers and devastators. What are they? Is it indeed two kits for the price of one? Also, I saw they have an avenger with George Bush markings. Are they back in business? What is going on, anybody with an update?

Thomas Myers is a frequent poster here and works for AM-- he is always updating us in the Community Announcements section of this board-- in fact-- he just updated the other day. If you go here:

http://www.accurate-miniatures.com

They have a rumors page....as far as the 2 for 1-- they are probably the older bagged kits that people are trying to get rid of..... they are retooling a lot of ther kits--check their site to read more.

As far as I know, there are still a lot of the white-box specials floating around from various distributors that can be had on the cheap. These white-box deals were sort of a last ditch effort put forth by the previous managemement team to generate some cash flow. There was an Avenger special and an SBD special, which contained two full kits with several decal options.

If there are any of these specials left, they are old-stock that distributors are trying to unload so they can get the new stuff we are putting out now.

If anyone gets one of these specials, handle the decals gingerly. We have had some complaints that they virtually disintegrate in the water. In fact, this happend to me while I was building one of the Avengers. This won't be a problem in the future, as we have started using Microscale to print our new decal sheets.
