Help w/ painting an ejection seat?
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, November 10, 2003 1:56 PM
Hey y'all!
I'm busying myself with a Revell 1/48 scale F-14D(yes, I'm re-scribing the panel lines!) and, I am having trouble with the ejection seat painting instructions! Now, the instructions say that the sides should be flat black, and that the framing on the sides should be yellow. However, the only picture I have of a NACES(I got the picture out of a book on the A-6E Intruder), shows the seat-sides being flat black, and only the ejection handles being yellow! I've already dry-brushed the frames with aluminum, should I re-brush the frames with yellow? Or am I right in only making the handles yellow, and keeping the rest of the sides black with dry-brushed aluminum?

Here is another site that might help.

I would say that the framing really should not be yellow. these references should sort it out for you though.
