ere it is guys....now finally i can concentrate on the 109e i m doing for the group build. picture was pixalated hence the title. its ok now i think.

whew! it was more complicated posting the pic than building the kit.
btw its a tamiya 1/48 Fw190 D9 JV44 out of the box and i didn't correct
the see thru gear bay to the engine that is missing.

just inspired by the hasegawa 1/32

obiwan the force really was strong with you here!!Tongue [:P]
quick questions: how did you do the spinner? was it done by hand? and please don't say yes!Evil [}:)]
alslo, how did you do the underside? i have this kit and a couple of sets of aftermarket decals, but am not really sure as to how to go about it.
great work, and see you in the group build.
regards,
nick

hey thanks guys for the input.

nick , the spinner was primed with Gunze Sangyo Mr White Base 1000 like the rest of the plane due to the bright colors yellow and red. Then I used Tamiya X-8 lemon yellow on it.it was then masked with Tamiya masking tape.It was difficult to mask due to the shape of the spinner but there was a recessed line on the spinner and I used this as a guide. After i had finished spraying Gunze Sangyo's semi gloss black I touched up the recessed line with dark watercolor.

the underside decaling went on after a coat of future.then microsol .as you know tamiyas decals are thick so i trimed the excess with a sharp scaple and a piece of photo etch scrap as a ruler then a litle more microsol in the trouble areas and trimming on the front of the wing .

hope this helps
