Jagdtiger interior - converting Henschell into porsche.

Hello all!Cool [8D]

I'm trying for a while to find some correct info about the interiors of this behemoth. I have the porsche jagdtiger kit, and the only interior I've found is the one maid by Jaguar(Smile [:)]). The different running gear means no torsion bars for the Porsche, nor the shock absorbers (at the front, one at each side - one next to the driver and one next to the hull machine guner/driver/radio man)

I want to know if one of you guy's know about more differnces?
Botheenterior and exterior will be nice!
Thanks alot! Big Smile [:D] ShModeler.

Jadgtiger: The Most Powerful Armoured Fighting Vehicle of WWII, volume 1, Technical History, by Andrew Devey, Schiffer Publishing, ISBN:0-7643-0750-9 $50
This is the book you need. 144pages, 170 b/w photos, 60 line drawings. Details the origin, design, construction and assembly of this vehicle. The armour, armaments, engine, transmission, suspension systems, electrical and optical equipment are all covered in detail. Everything you never needed to know about this beast!
Sorry, I don't own it myself, or I would be able to answer your questions. I only have volume two, Operation History. If you need info on that, I'd be happy to help.

I don't know of any sites right off hand, but I'll usually fork out for a good reference book, because that's almost half the battle in building good models. A kit, basic skills, good tools and good references are all important. My favorite references are my own photos, then comes my library, which I add to when good photos or data are needed.

Also, if $50 is too much for a book right now, try your library. Chances are, somewhere in the system, there is a copy of the book that you can get. Remember, (in spite of the fact that the federal government didn't mind cutting millions in library funding to give everybody a 'tax rebate' SoapBox [soapbox]), they can draw books from all over the country, including museums.

A library card may be your most cost effective ref material. Try it, you might get a pleasant surprise.

Sorry I didn’t post sooner, but I figured I knew very little about this topic. Hope this helps:

“There were two basic types of Jagdtiger manufactured in 1944/45, differentiated only by their suspension.”

That is a direct quote from this site:
http://afvinteriors.hobbyvista.com/jagtig/jagtig1.html

good luck with the build

as the suspension was the only difference you should be ok with the interior, just dont add or remove the Torsion bars as the Porche didnt use them
