First look: Dragon's 1/72 Panther
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, November 22, 2003 5:14 PM
Having just picked up Dragon's Panther G early for the Panther Group build, I must say that it is very impressive. The hull comes in two parts, both are diecast and pre-primed. The two halves go together with screws. Since I'm not starting it untill December, I can't comment on how it goes together. However, from my experience with 1/72 armor, this kit is much better. It has one piece vinal tracks, but the pattern is really good. Since Dragon is making a Jadgpanther and Panther G Late, there is a plethora of spare parts. Also included are spare track links, tow chains, and a bit of an engine deck. All in all, from what I've seen of this kit, I would highly recomend it to anyone.

I've seen it in the shops, and it does look like a good kit. I've also seen the built-up version Dragon sells, and it is very well done, too. I have the Jagdpanther from the same series.
Good recommendation, Smith M! Thanks for the review.
Please post some pix of your Panther when you get it done!
