M24 "Chaffee" is it ok?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, November 23, 2003 11:20 AM
Hi all something like ten days ago i decided to build an OOB kit and I've chosen an Italeri M24 "Chaffee". I put it together, I starting to paint it then I've been (as usual) bitten by the "detailing bug" so I started adding a few PE and a lot of scratchbuilt stuff.
Now I'm going to paint it, but I'd like if you guys can give me further ideas/input/comments/critics before picking up the airbrush...

Thanks a lot in advance

Wow, Fabio! You've put a ton of great detail on that M24! The .50 cal really looks good, too.
The only thing I can see that you might want to check out is the PE fender brace on the right rear fender. In your close-up picture of that area, it appears that the PE is pulling up or is not seated firmly on the fender, and you can see some glue in the gap.

Other than that, it looks great so far!
Looking forward to seeing the finished model. How are you going to finish it? US? Japanese? Italian?

Thanks for your kind words guys!!!
I didn't noticed the gap you mentioned. It will be finished with the markings of the Genova Cavalleria (4th) Regiment of the Italian Cavalry.

Nice detailing Fabio. It should look awesome when finished.

Fabio, it looks gorgeous. Great work. Looking forward to seeing it completed, but glad I could see the work you put into it first!

Great job Scoccia,

Gotta be careful of that "detail bug" - it can surface at all the wrong times
