FIrefly for a wash most people use a burnt umber or mix with black for the wash. The best medium is artist oils thinned with turpentine or mineral spirits. If you do a real thin wash you can cover the whole kit or if it's a little thicker mix, use a small brush to pin point wash around details on the kit. Make sure you have a gloss coat on before doing the wash so the excess can be removed easily. If you go to the techniques forum and do a search for "wash" you'll find plenty of topics going into even more detail. Hope this helps you some.

You can use black for your washes firefly ..... but maybe one of the other guys can explain them a little better than I can, I never do them.

Trevor - bad Trevor, bad ..... I liked it though ...... bad, bad, bad

Yea it's to keep you from smelling bad after a hard days work.
I'm sorry that was uncalled for, funny but uncalled for.

A wash is used to add shadows and help bring out small details along with drybrushing. A wash is a over thinned paint or I use Ink.

firefly first get a host for your photos
then when you do (you can try it out on one my sig if you want)
right mouse click on the photo bringing up the menu
at the bottem of the menu will be the Propeties,
click on that and when the properties window opens up copy the address(URL)
and paste the URL between but remove the space at the end between the g and the ]

i hope ive explained it ok

Please do not give credit were it is not deserved.Big Smile [:D] Sorry if I mixed some people up, i was just trying to help out.Disapprove [V]

Capt. Thanks for the nice comments. The grass is nothing more than Celluclay that I airbrushed in greens and browns. I'm glad you liked the relaxed look of the crew because I was tring to get that look like they're waiting for something, orders maybe, a panzer to come into range, or maybe someone to come and get them unlost.
