Yeah I have photos of the carrier conversion. To the best of my knowledge no major work was taken on to achieve it. I don't see where the drive shaft would be able..... I just don't see how it would work.My 2 cents [2c]

Thats me finished about this subject, but they look great all the same.

I'm not a fan of either vehicle, but these two are nice.  Good work here.

I would have to agree with terry35 on the Universal Carrier. The pedestal is placed where the engine is housed. Is the engine inside the pedestal? If so how would it be accessed? I am also confused on how the gun is secured to the vehicle.

Good eye there Terry.  I think Art Instructor got carried away with his exacto knife.  Anyways, it still looks cool even if implausible.  I love the look of that huge slab-sided KV-II as well.  What a crate!

The K.V is simply beautiful. excellent work. The carrier looks briliant, but if I may just ask a question, Is it a conversion kit? The pedestal under the flak, what and why is it there, and where is the Carriers engine gone, I had thought thet Germans simply made small alterations and plonked the flak on it. Anyway they both look great.

Happy New Year.

Many thanks for your kind compliments! I really appreciate them!

TacoBuff, you're right about the silvering decals on the Universal Carrier. That maybe because the kit doesn't provide German markings, so my builder had to use old decals from other German kit which don't work so well.

Nice weathering on your builds here. The universal carrier looked like a pretty interesting subject and build. I also built that same KV-2 but instead one of the turret decals folded while drying and i had to paint two ruined letters (Yours is a lot better than mine!). really nice job on both of them

these are very nice, especially the universal carrier.  the weathering and the paint are spot on.  My only complaint is that the decals on the carrier are quite silvered.  It's too bad, because the build is excellent other than that.
