M1A2 Interior detail sets ??
Posted by ILuv3ggs on Friday, November 28, 2003 3:57 PM
hey,

i am looking for an M1A2 interior detail set, i had a look on bentbutnotbroken.com and couldn't find any...does anyone know if any exist ?

also, i found an M1 Abrams engine set, just wondering if there is any difference between the M1 and the M1A2 engines ... (doesn't the M1A2 have a new engine or something?)

thanks for your help Big Smile [:D]

The Verlinden interior isn't all that great. Needs a lot of scratchbuilding and modification to be accurate. I'm putting one in my Trumpeter M-1A1HA and it needed a LOT of work.

I have built Dragon's M1A1-HA. It came with some interior details. I would suppose it is not complete though.
I also have Dragon's M1A2 and I believe some interior details are included, too. Just the same, I think some AM will be required if a more accurate interior finish is to be done.

However, no engines came with either kit.

Hey,

not sure but I think that Verlindin is putting out a new M1A2 interior sometime in Jan or Feb... It was in one of the ads in FSM... As for the M1 getting a new power plant I can ask around post but I am pretty sure that the only real changes between the packs is the output horse power and the shape of the air filter canisters... I'll ask one of the mechanics here on post and see what they have to say...

The Verlinden set is for an initial production M1 series, does not even come close to the interior of an M1A1, let alone an A2. As far as engines go, I don't think much has changed. Scratch building is the way to go.
