That is great news. Now I just need to make some space on my shelves or put a few new ones.

How cool! Tongue [:P] I thought they would never release one. Unfortunately to me, it has the Porsche turret. That's okay, a Henschel couldn't be far behind. Now when will they make a T-34/76 1943 version? Thanks for the update Jon. I already heard about the other releases. This must be the mystery tank in their 2003 catalog.

Well this just boils my blood. Just as soon as I get provisions to turn my Tamiya kit into the 114 from Normandy, another manufaturer releases that exact kit. Good news on the Tiger with zim in 1/72

Anyone get their hands on a review kit yet? I'm curious to see how this thing stacks up against the Tamiya offering.

I'm amazed that they did a kit for the Panther erzatz M10! What were there, five of them? Oh wait, German armor .... Tongue [:P]

Actually Larry, there were 10 Panthers converted. Wink [;)]

My guess, is it will be better than Tamiya's offering. It will have indy tracks and photoetched grilles. At least 1/2 the price with similar options as compared to the Tamiya kit.

Here's another pic:

Nice!
Just as an aside, I've noticed on some other sites that a few folks are upset at the perpetuation of the "Henschel Turret" / "Porsche Turret" myth. Evidently they were never referred to by these names at the time. I first ran across this topic in Jentz and Doyle's excellent Germany's Tiger Tanks (VK45.02 to Tiger II).
Heck, it just seems like the best way to tell 'em apart to me!

I noticed that none of these Dragon photo's show their Kingtiger with zimmerit. They would of most likely had that on them...wouldn't they?

Yup, they would have.
Aside from the first two prototype Tiger IIs with the "Porsche" turrets, all "Porsche -turreted" Tiger IIs had zimmerit. Late war Tiger IIs with the production turrets, however, did not.

I reckon Dragon figured the zim is best left to the modeler to do.
Moses must've had a word with them!

i think if they showed the Tiger with Zimaret peaple would think it came with Zimaret and they could be done in false advertising

Tigerman there might have been plans to make 10 Panther Ersatz M10s but only 5 were made and they had 5 Stugs

Tamiya Beware!Black Eye [B)]
The crown is slipping (if it hasn,t already fallen off).
Smile [:)]I,d love to see some detailed shots of the new Tiger II.(or even just the sprues for the kit.)

Thanks Jon, one of my books says one thing, the other book another thing. I did read something about the Stugs, so your probably correct.

I agree Gotter, Dragon is challenging Tamiya. They certainally offer a good product at a better price.

Hi all!Cool [8D]

Check this VERY quick review form hyperscale.
it dosen't say much at the moment but enough to start drooling all over the place! Pay attention that the kit containes two different barrels!!!Evil [}:)]

YIEPPE one for the spear box.Smile [:)]

The different barrels are one for normandie and one for the eastern front.
Personally I dont know what is the exact difference any comments?
