HobbyCraft Armor Kits...Any good???
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 8, 2003 3:49 PM
The armor kits any good? I bought a HobbyCraft Mig 27 bout 6 months ago and it was nasty...warped, flash everywhere, bad panel lines.Angry [:(!]

I went into the hobby shop today and saw HobbyCrafts Challenger and M1A1. Opened the box and the molding looked really nice...clean with very little flash. They even put the anti skid texture on it. Cool [8D]
Anyone have some advice they could share.
Hows the detail?
Fit?
Overall accuracy?

Thanks in advance!

I just bought the hobbycraft fayadeen technical vehicle, its baically a gaz with a 106 or 105mm recoilless rifle mounted on the back. it lacks detail, but what is there is good and it went together well, but the tires are way undersized. as for accuracy i don't know.

There are other posts on this subject that cover it completely. Search the forums for it :)

From what I recall, most people are happy with the hobbycraft stuff, especially considering the price!!!

If I'm correct Hobbycraft are reboxed Trumpeter kits. I have the Trumpeter M1A2 and I wasn't pleased at all. Angry [:(!] It has fit issues and some nasty pieces. If you'll check out the Trumpeter T-72 thread a page or so back, you'll see it' s somewhat a consensus. Good luck!
