Karl Morser

Wow! you're old enough to be my uncle, yet you still have the will to build! Great! Maybe next two years you'll do a skydiving same as George H.Bush did recently. Other guys have shown you the links about how to build this model, so I just want to show some built kits of mine. They were build by "AI" my main modelers over the years:

Trumpeter also released both kits without railway and transport carrier, which one did you get? The big gun (Initial Version) or the smaller gun?

Welcome to the forums! The others have pointed you in the right direction so no additional advice that I can offer other than enjoy the build and share photos of your progress if you can.

Welcome aboard and thank you for your service. The optivisor is a fantastic tool. I bought one at Harbor Freight Tools (under a different name) for under $10 a couple of years ago and I use it for all my detailing work . I don't have the Trump kit but I have the Dragon Karl Morser. They may be similar and if they are, it is a fairly easy kit to handle. Good luck on your build and post some pictures of your Morser when you're done.

Sir. I have examined the Karl kit in detail, I have the one with the rail carriage, I am not sure if they relased one without the rail transport equiptment.

Overall I got the impression it was a beautiful kit that would take quite a bit of time to assemble. I did notice a lot of pin marks. Depending on how you wish to tackle this problem will determine how long the project will take.  I think you will have a beautiful show piece when you finish no matter how you approach these.

The optivisor idea is sound advice, have been using one for two years now and even though my boy's still get hysterical fits of laughter seeing me wear the things I wouldn't be able to build without them anymore (couldn't even see what I would be building )

Also if you don't have one get by your local hobby shop and get an Optivisor......makes it a little easier on the eyes, and there are a couple different magnification lens available.

biglummy, first of all, thank you for your service to our country. Second, welcome to the forums. Third sir, I am 57 and have been using an optivisor for a couple of years now, just so I can locate and assemble these small pieces, you may want to look into getting a set of them. Fourth, I am sorry that I cannot help you with your kit, but someone will chime in with some help, Good luck with your build sir.

WOW 83yrs old, my hat goes off to you sir. First for still building at your young age and for tackling that kit. I haven't built that kit yet, so I couldn't help you out any, sorry.
