Many Sextons had the later VVS units.  Some even had the Canadian version with extended vertical 3 flanges and a vertical holes on the side wedges

These were released by Formations as an accessory, BTW.

Be lovely to see... Wink

I don't pay much attention to spoiler announcements or Vapourware.

I'll wait until I see plastic... then get it anyway....

So far the mockup artwork shows late late suspension, which is possible, but more M4 than M3 based,  still possible, so I'm looking forward to this....

There's really no kit of a sexton, I thought there was cause its a still a famous tank, just as musch success as the priest. A conversion would be alot of work, but with good reference and academy's priest and tamiya 25pdr has a good chance of a completed build, but for now, I got other projects to build.

Thanks anyways.

Working on: Trumpeter SU-152 (1/35) Trumpeter E-10 (1/35) Heller Somua (1/35)

One can't just use a M7 Priest and plop a 25pdr.  Lots of work would ensue.  An injection plastic Sexton would be da bomb!

My S-Models Sexton is currently on Shelf Queen status.

Kits:Resicast are refreshing theirs,  Resicast are accurate, very well researched, & expensive!

S-model did one, I got mine cheap on $b@y!

I haven't started it, as I don't have enough refs to do the interior.

Comparing the 25pdr (88mm eqv) RESIN barrel to Tamiya's plastic 25 pdr, it's a very erm... anemic copy.

My Chassis tub is in several bits, I'm not sure about the transmission cover shape, though there are 2 marks of Sexton & Grizzly that different in detail.  Finally, the 100's of so-so track & suspension parts put me off.

Books:  Wydawnictwo Militaria Tank 6 Canadian armour in detail: Ram, Sexton & Grizzly in detail.

Mags: the UK Military Modelling mag did a d-day build article, will try to findthe mag.

There was a WIP on the website, here: http://www.militarymodelling.com/forums/postings.asp?th=27561

Rumours: a 'major mfr' is allegedly toolingfor plastic, the name escapes me... Smile [:)]

Edit: google the excelent Canadian Armour website! Big Smile [:D]

Think your going to have to make it as a conversion, Italeri Priest and Tamiya 25Pdr. can't find a fererence to a kit anywhere.

Does anyone know a manufacture that make the Sexton 25 Pr, 1/35 would be best?
