M1abramsRules' 1st dio (1000 post)
Posted by M1abramsRules on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 10:38 PM
well for my 1000th post I thought it would be nice to do a dio for it. It is real sand, and the shrubs are toothbrush bristles. I know I still have a lot to learn. but I hope to make more dios in the future. The guys are yet to be added. The model is hasegawa's 1/72 crusader, and it still needs to be weathered. I added scratchbuilt antennas and a smoke launcher on the left side of the turret. sorry about the pics, couldn't find macro on my sisters camera.

AbramRules,

Congrats on the 1000th. Yeah, those pictures aren't great. What I think I see, looks pretty good.

Nice job ( gotta get a little closer )

what you should see is a cruseder going through a desert with a few shrubs.

Coming a long nicely with your dio Chris .... get a little closer with the camera next time though Wink [;)]. These old eyes need a set of binoculars to help see that far.

Just a little suggestion would be to use a little pastel on both the Crusader and the ground work to blend the two together a bit.

Nice work my young friend ... you've come a long way.

Thanks for sharing !!!
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Looks good from afar. Kongratz on the 1000 posts. Just a question though, have you weathered that beast? Can't tell from here.

Keep it up.

Congrats on the kilo post, Chis. Looks nice in the pics (ditto above). Maybe your sister's camera doesn't have a macro setting on it. I remember when that was an oddity!
