Quick Sherman Question, M4A3--Where's the Antenna Mount? THanks
Posted by I make stuff on Saturday, September 5, 2009 4:38 PM

DML M4A3, I think one of these two rear turrer areas is the mount, can't tell from the box art and a google search.  Here's where I think it goes, one of these circles at the rear, but which one?

Thanks,

Bill

Both mounts are for the aerial base. Typically the mount that I have seen on most 75mm M4's is the one behind the loaders hatch in the large well, but for T23 76mm turrets they have been placed on the right hand side near the copula.

You could use both at the same time also... The Company Commander's tank would have two radio sets mounted in most cases, since he needs to able to talk on both the Company and Battalion command nets... The Platoon Leader's tank would likely have two sets as well...
