British Challenger 2 Progress pics...
Posted by Dwight Ta-ala on Thursday, December 18, 2003 6:04 PM
This kits has so many tiny parts that take forever to clean and glue. Well at least I got good progress last night doing the initial paint job.

After doing the camo on the turret and the hull, I worked on the roadwheels applying some weathering before I put them in position. These could be hard to reach when the side skirts are already on.

Here are the first progress pics on the paint job:

Next stop: Painting of the tracks, paint detailing, decals and some light weathering.

I should be able to complete this by tomorrow.

Coming along nicely Dwight .... looking real good.

You must be doing this build at work where you have so much time on your hands.

Looking good Dwight. I'm naive about the Challenger, are the wheels a different color from the rest of the vehicle? What colors did you use?

Sherm: A kit this size is quite difficult to hide in the office. LOL. But I can pretend that I am working while posting. Thanks.

Tigerman: The roadwheels have already been weathered and mudded up that's why the color is different. When I attach the side skirts it would be difficult to do the weathering of the roadwheels so I did it while the skirts are still off.

Alex: Thanks.
