Does anyone know if Italeri has stopped production of the 1/35 scale M109E4 ? If so then I just hope the shop downtown still has the one on the shelf still?

It's not in Hannants catalogue, which is a bad sign already... what about eBay?

i am working on one now. thier are a few fit problems with the kit but nothing rellly hard to over come. watch out for the instructions they can be confusing at times on which model you are building.

Redleg,

I really like those kits, too bad Italieri didn't make the side doors open on the 'cab' or turret. Before the Paladin, it was common to open all the doors, especially on a nice day when NBC was far, far away. I kinda miss that when the engine is running the AFCS is humming and the blower is kicked in during missions (of course, I like to be able to shoot 'n' scoot!). Anyhooo, when that happened, it gave a NICE view of all of the crew compartment details. I did up my M109A1 with a full interior and really like it. I have to make some RTV molds for my M108, early M109, etc once I start building them!

Let me know how your A4 is going!

Your scratch building the 108?
Could you maybe pass along some tricks and whatnots for the conversion?
I found a pic of one and want to build one. I probably won't get to get around to it before I visit the sandbox for a year vacation, so many builds so little time.

In the summer heat at Graf and Hohenfels I'd love to have the cross breaze of the two side hatches!

I haven't seen the M108 kit since the late 1980's.

I've only seen one on the shelf and I bought it because it was used in Vietnam.

It's going to be a long shot to find one, but I'd try it.

Redleg, you crack me up. So that's how I always make it back to my gun after a trip to the woods! Yes, the M108 I have is the OLD issue by Italieri. Perhaps, with any luck, it will be reissued. Drop an email to Testors Corp. and ask, they'll know what's up.

If they don't have to much up their sleeves on the 108 comeback maybe i'll recomend some artillery add on or add to kits such as a box of grid squares, a bucket of muzzle blast and the every lovable prick-E-8 (Pronounced : pricky 8 )radio. hehe

I had a guy looking for a ST1 a few days ago, it was great ( spell out st1 for the non military personel ) there's always the tr double E that gets them looking for ever till you point at it. and if you get the mechanics in on it the exhaust sample in a bag.

can you imagine if they could make a few 1/35 soldiers with the lost, I'm new, and this guy told me to.... look on their faces, I'd buy them all in a heart beat.
