Nice looking C2,
I have already seen a reveiw on the new Trump Desert storm II C2. It looks great, the new kit is an improvement on the old Smile [:)]
The C2 is a sharp looking tank, yours looks great...... I think I may have to pick one up myself Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

U-96 / J-Hulk / latch66 / Alex / M1: Thanks guys. I ma glad you liked it.

Sentry: I am planning to have a dio for this one but probably in the future. I am still looking for good Kosovo scenes as the box art really does not offer anything good. The addition of a camo netting will depend on the scene that I will choose so I am not yet sure.

About the tracks, actually I did not follow the instructions that is why I had more problems in the fit. The instructions should that the roadwheels and tracks should be assembled before the lower hull is glued to the upper hull. But I decided to fix the upper and lower hull first so I really had a hard time setting the tracks. Fortunately though the fenders are a bit soft allowing some bending during that horrible process. I would suggest that you fit the tracks while the upper and lower hulls are not yet fixed together.

Frosty: I find this tanks really cool. Much bigger than the M1 and with a much longer gun. Looks really intimidating and resembles a Jadpanther. You should try to work on your kit. I know that you will love it.

Again, thanks guys.

nice job with a rather fiddly kit (this is just hearsay; i haven't gotten up the nerve 2 do more than even open mine 2 take a quick glance in the box yet
and it did look involved 2 say the least)
thankx 4 sharing it !

Great stuff Dwight! Having seen a few of these beasts tooling around Bovingdon and Salisbury Plain, the dirt and dust on the skirts is absolutely perfect!

DJ: Thanks

nmayhew: I heard that it will come out soon. Thanks

Tigerman: Yeah. And it has a very long gun, too. Longer than that of an M1.

Sherm: Thanks

Ex949: I have the same question myself. Tore off the right side mirror 3 times already when I turned the turret during installation and painting. The connection details suggest that it can swivel down and up. I am not sure about it though. Thanks.

Nice build! Got a question for you tho... the side mirrors thing? how does the turret rotate around them? are they spring loaded to bend downwards or something (I mean in the real thing)...

Good looking beast Dwight !!!!

Nice all around work on this one. Can't see a thing that needs fixing from here.
Good use of dirt and dust, just enough.

Thanks for sharing as always.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Thanks guys and sorry for not describing the kit a bit more.

It's a 1/35 kit from Trumpeteer. I think it was released late last year or early this year (I am not so sure). Actually the workbench reviews did a review on this kit and that's how I got to know about it.

Well, I don't know if I am qualified to review it but if you ask me about how it went I would summarize my comments as follows:

A. Negatives

1.) Lots of molding lines, sink holes and molding excesses to be cleaned up. Even the smallest parts like handles, locks need to be cleaned up in one way or the other. The rubber tracks also need clean-up. Not that it is impossible to do, it is just that it takes lots of time.
2.)The rubber tracks are too tight. Needs extra effort (and care) to install.
3.) Decals for unit numbers are separately/individually cut. Example if the unit number is 412, you have to put together this number from the individually provided numbers 4, 1 and 2. Takes extra time to fix especially to align them.
4.) The instructions for the setting of decals is good only for one unit. No mention of how to set the others which are also provided in the decal sheet.

B. Positives
1.) Lots of details even down to the smallest ones.
2.) Fit is fine except for the gap between the turret and the upper mantlet.

Lastly, it is still a fun kit to build.

British Challenger 2 Almost Complete...

Well, I am almost finished with this one. Almost because when I looked at pictures of BC2's I see some small parts that are not included in the kit. I might need to scratchbuild such parts in the days to come. For the meantime, here is what it looked so far.

I could not resist the temptation to get it muddied up so it looks really dirty.

Sorry, the pics are not too clear and the lighting may have caused the pics to looked whitish or something.
